What it is

The green book (ทะเบียนรถ) is the official vehicle registration document in Thailand. It shows the registered owner, vehicle details, and transfer history. It is the primary proof of legal ownership.

What to verify

• Seller name matches the registered owner in the book
• Vehicle details (make, model, engine, chassis) match the listing
• No obvious alterations or damage to the book
• Transfer history is consistent
• Tax sticker is current (if applicable)

Why mismatches matter
